In the first quarter of 2024, Brazil's carpooling and ridesharing app market has seen notable user activity across several leading platforms. Sensor Tower has compiled data on the top five applications, showcasing their performance in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

Uber - Request a ride maintained its popularity with downloads starting at 324K in the first week of January and seeing a slight dip to around 303K by the end of March. Weekly active users began at 12.2M and peaked at 13.9M in the first week of March, before settling at 13.1M by the quarter's end.

inDrive. Save on city rides, another key player, showed fluctuating downloads, starting at 141K in the new year and decreasing to 106K in the last week of March. Weekly active users had a low of 3.1M in mid-February but rebounded to 3.7M in early March, ending the quarter at 3.4M.

The Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver app experienced a gradual decline in downloads from 133K to 83K over the quarter. The weekly active users also saw a slight decrease from 1.7M in the first week of January to 1.6M by the end of March.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus downloads varied, with a high of 134K in the first week of January, dropping to 79K in mid-March, and then a slight increase to 84K in the last week. Weekly active users reflected a similar pattern, with a starting figure of 1.8M, dipping to 1.5M, and then a significant climb to 1.9M to finish the quarter.

Lastly, Bolt: Request a Ride saw the lowest numbers among the top apps with downloads peaking at 7.6K in early February but otherwise remaining below 7K for the rest of the quarter. Weekly active users hovered around 22K-24K, indicating a relatively stable user base.
